Dr. Michalis Kontopodis studied psychology in Greece, France, Poland and Germany and completed his PhD at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Free University Berlin, Germany. He has collected much knowledge from studies, post-doctoral research and visiting scholarships all over the world: University of Crete; Free University Berlin; Humboldt University Berlin; City University of New York, New York University; Moscow State University; Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo; Jawaharlal Nehru University, and UvA.
Michalis Kontopodis is currently working as an assistant professor at the Department of Research and Theory in Education, VU University Amsterdam. His current projects concern global education and teaching and learning with digital media. He is also a consultant and scientific adviser on global education, intercultural dialogue as well as on teaching and learning with new media technologies (concerning: US, Brazil, India, North & South Europe).
